Leadville, Colorado.  It is the highest incorporated town in North America: 10,200 feet.  In 1893 reached its peak of 60,000 residence, including the Unsinkable Molly Brown, Jesse James, and Horace Tabor.   Could you imagine the night life?  I lived just outside this town for a summer and while Mount Massive and Elbert are still there… it isn’t how it once was.
